Welcome to the

Natural Gardeners Club

Let’s grow a more sustainable way of life together. A place to upskill, founded by a female person of colour in Waltham Forest, London.

Our Story

A BAME-Led Group

It all started with a seed. 🌱 Back in 2018, a local gardener, known as The Organic Horticulturalist, handed us several plants and sprinkled some seeds on our first ever garden patch in a front garden of one of our rentals. At the time, we didn’t know the first thing about plants. But that little gesture sparked a journey of discovery into the incredible world of plants and their benefits.

Easing Isolation in Nature

Good company, fresh air, and something to watch grow. Our gardening club is a simple remedy for the weight of loneliness. Whether you’re here to learn or just to be around others, you’ve got a place in the plot with us.

We Learn, We Grow

Our Top Aims

One

One

Upskill the community, in gardening, carpentry, sewing and other life skills.

Two

Provide a Safe Space for All

Our happiness is that people say they feel comfortable here. We want to continue spaces like this, bigger and better.

Two

Make Workshops Accessible to Marginalised and Under Represented Communities

A lot of parents from marginalised communities find they have nowhere for their young adulrs (also known as teens) to go. We find that getting them involved in what we do, helps equip young ones with important life skills, but we need to do more locally. In nearby boroughs, there are successful initiatives, so it can be done. If we do not habe eough manpower, we partner up with those who do, to create a community of groups who serve the local residents in the way that it's needed.
