Welcome to the

Natural Gardeners Club

Let’s grow a more sustainable way of life together.

Our Story

A BAME-Led Group

It all started with a seed. 🌱 Back in 2018, a local gardener, known as The Organic Horticulturalist, handed us several plants and sprinkled some seeds on our first ever garden patch in a front garden of one of our rentals. At the time, we didn’t know the first thing about plants. But that little gesture sparked a journey of discovery into the incredible world of plants and their benefits.

Easing Isolation in Nature

Good company, fresh air, and coming back to watch the crops grow. Our gardening club is a little remedy for the weight of loneliness. Whether you’re here to learn or just to be around others, you’ve got a place here with us.

We Learn, We Grow

Our Top Aims

One

One

Upskill the community, in gardening, carpentry, sewing and other life skills.

Two

Provide a Safe Space for All

People tell us they feel comfortable here. We feel truly happy hearing this. We hope to continue to provide a warm space.

Two

Make Workshops Accessible to Marginalised and Under Represented Communities

Parents from marginalised communities often have nowhere for their teens. Our workshops build life skills, but we also share the tasks with the youth so they can be a core part of the project, whether it's answering emails or designing posters. These are the kinds of opportunities we had which gave us a lot of experience for adulthood. We encourage more of this amongst community organisations.

Sharing our thoughts with you.

About Wildways along the Ching: Tackling the Crisis at Root Level: Holding Water in the Land

Learn how planting and soil design can help tackle flooding, drought, and extreme weather. This practical session will explore the role of water-retaining and drought-tolerant plants, how to design planting beds that absorb and store water effectively, and how different soil media influence water movement and retention. Participants will also learn how to create custom soil mixes for herbs and resilient planting schemes, helping gardens better withstand both heatwaves and heavy rainfall.
